I recently purchased a custom 260 rem from a member here on savage shooters which is a 20" barreled custom mcgowen 8 twist. My question is how muc velocity am I losing compared to a 22" or 24" barreled 260? Ive been reading estimates that you lose aprox 25fps per inch of barrel below 24". Is this correct?
