What actually is holding the rear of the mag in the stock?

I am hiving problems picking up rounds every so often. I push up on the rear of the mag and it works again.

Are you inserting the mag correctly? Angle the rear of the mag up in to the receiver first, swing the front up to lock in place.

Yes. I think I may have it working. Won't know till I get out to shoot it. There is a tab on the rear and I bent it out and it is much tighter than it was in the stock.

Mine was hanging out from new and I tried to bend that tab out and it broke. Spoke to Cabelas (the sellers) who are sending me a replacement and they said it should be snug and not hanging out. Pretty lame.

New mag in now. Snug fit. Looks exactly the same as the old but it's a tight fit. Go figure.;)

Off topic. Do u have to do this verification every time?
