Hello
I recently bought a second hand FCP HS Precisio 338 LM gun.
Mannufactured ammo is difficult to fin and very expensive here in Spain.
Would like to know your experiences about reloaded ammo. Hornady bullets are easy to find here. Sierra 250 gr HPBT are also available. About powder I have more problems and the most usual is Tubal 8000.
Any input about reloads this gun likes?
Thanks in advance

Mine shoots well with the Sierra 250 grain match as well as the 250 Berger and 300 berger bullets. For powder I mostly use N170 or Retumbo. I have tried 780, 7828, H1000 and Retumbo is easier to find and shoots better too.

If you can, get a Hornady Overall Length Gauge with the special brass for the .338 Lapua and get the Hornady A Max bullets in 285 grains (their BC is .720). I just bought the gun the beginning of last week, measured the chamber and set the COAL at 3.779" (backed it off the lands .001) and loading 50 cartridges with 80 grains of IMR 7828 SSC and using Winchester magnum rifle primers. I have a Vortex Viper 6-24X50 MRAD scope mounted on it, and when sighting it in, my 8th, 9th, and 10th shots were .5" at 100 yards. My 5th, 6th, and 7th shots were all in a 1" black bullseye and 2 went through the same hole. I hope this helps. It's an accurate, fun gun to shoot.
