can any of you guys shooting 142g SMKs and or 140g hornady match bullets out of a 260 rem CBI match barrel tell me your COAL or base to ogive measurements with these bullets touching the lands please? it is getting close to rebarrel time on my 260 and im thinking of going with a CBI barrel this time(NSS 28" shilen S-8 select match at present) and id like to know approximately how much if any free bore id be gaining over my shilen barrel with the CBI. if no gain or minimal gain i will just go shilen and send in a dummy round and have the free bore set to the round.
i know every barrel is a little different im just asking to see if there is a big difference in free bore as mine is pretty short now...at 41g of 4350 its slightly compressed with the 140g hornadys...im also running lapua brass which i know is thick.

With the Hornady 140gr BTHP I get a COAL=2.874" or CBTO=2.319" with the "5-26" comparator insert. That's the CBI 260 match chamber with .160" of freebore.
