savage 11-VT bottom metals question

I'm new to this forum. And I recently bought my first savage. The 11-VT from Dick's sporting goods. I'm overly impressed with the rifle, except for one thing, the magwell. My rifle is chambred in 308. Can I swap out the plastic magwell for the 10fcp bottom metals? I know my rifle has the bolt release in front of the trigger.

Yes you can.
Just get the one designed for bottom release.
You can install hinged floor plate or DBM bottom.
