Hi guys, I am desperately looking for a .338 magazine alternative. The Savage importer charges 220USD(!) :frusty: for one original and at the moment no one imports Accurate-Mags. Due to the ITAR crap, an export from the US by private persons can take up months, not to mention the costs. I heared that Accuracy International mags fit, but no one is sure which one(6715 or 20400). These are quite easy to get from GB, so this could be a good alternative.....but which one?
It would be great if you can help me out.

Since no one seems to have a clue, or time or whatever I jumped in at the deep end and ordered all. So, if someone else has the same problem due to ITAR, Accurate-Mag shortage, etc. the Accuracy International magazine that fits the 110 FCP HS .338 is the AI 6715. In fact it fits better than the original!

I'm guessing that because no one here in the USA has to contend with the HIGH import cost of the factury mags theres no need to find an alternative. Then again I just guessing and don't even have a dog in this hunt.
Thanks for the helpful info.
Cabelas Canada has .338 Lapua magazines in stock.
I bought one last Week on a Black Friday sale for a good price.

I think you guess right! If Accuarte-Mag does not go out of business, there is no need for an alternative in the US. I just wrote it just in case and all the "ITAR-marred"....

Cabelas Canada does not ship these to Europe! But I am glad that I had to buy AI mags to be honest because I have never seen such a bad magazine fitting as with the original .338 mag in my 110FCP. In fact, the worst AK I had in my hands had a better magazine fitting......
The AI mags fit a little bit better (less wobble) and they cost me about 100$ each, including the shipping of the wrong ones back.

I too have been looking for an alternative, as the original Accurate-
Mag tends to jam on me. I called Savage, but they were not very helpful. After researching, i found the following part number that should work.
Savage Mag part number 55190
AICS Mag Part number 4808 or 6715 (replaced 4808)
Accu mag part 00100-0022
Hope that is helpful, as i have not found a post on the internet yet with that information.

I ended up buying both the accu-mag 0100-0022 and the AI 6715. They are almost exactly the same quality. In fact, the accu-mag came intact after shipping, but the AI 6715 bottom had come offand the spring was sticking out when it arrived. I slid the bottom on and all is well. Both fit perfect in the 110 BA Stealth 338LM.
