I'm a not so old, retired Marine who lives in the high desert of Nevada and whose not a gun nut but, a person who likes the art of long range shooting. I only own one Savage, a 12 f/tr in .308, and that's the only rifle I need for reaching out and touching some tasty targets. I've owned other rifles but got rid of them after the savage (of course I own an AR) and maybe someday after the price of .338 Lapua rounds drop I may buy the Savage 11LR or the 110BA (if I want flashbacks) so I can drop targets at 3k.
I'm not a navy seal so I'm at home with a fixed power 10x SWFA scope. Of course the Schmidt & Benders were awesome but, when I have to shell out the money and not the government, this man isn't doing it.
