I have recently purchased a 93R17 GV..

Since I am new to this particular rifle, I would like to know what brands & weights shoot most accurately in your Savage, particularly with the bull barrel.

I have the BTV version, the only round it likes is the Hornady 20 gr HP and I believe I've tried most brands/grs.

I have the 93R17BTVLSS and it loves Hornady's with the 17gr. v-max. It will shoot a
10 shot 2" group at 200yds. Which I think is pretty decent for a factory rimfire. ;D

I also have a 17 with the bull barrel and it loves anything Hornady especially 20gr HP. ;D
On the other hand it has a great dislike for Federals. :( I can't explain it but I guess it is what it is.

I already have a .17 HMR in an NEF and it likes Hornady 17 gr V-Max, but I know that is not necessarily true for my new Savage, which can vary even between guns of the same brand. I'm looking for a trend, I guess.

Mine likes the Win but shoots Hornady 17gr Vmax pretty well.

I'm enjoying my Savage 93R17 GV more and more, having been getting more varmints with it. It is so accurate, it simply turns varmints into bullet magnets !
