I live in the rocky mountains and have built 5 custom savages over the past 5 years. Here is my latest build. Savage short action, 260 Rem w/ 26" Criterion Varmint Barrel, Choate Ultimate Varmint Stock, Sightron SIII 8-32 mildot scope, burris signature rings, Nightforce one piece rail and Harris Bipod. Weighs in at 12.5lbs and is a great prairie dog gun with longest kill at 625 yards. Looking forward to learning more from you guys.

I use a 243 Win, 204 ruger, and working to get a 6x45 ready. I will also add that I don't shoot any pdogs in Utah, because there are no prairie dogs there.

Thanks guys, so far everyone has been very helpful. I think I may just have to upgrade to a paid member.
