Who makes a decent light weight hunter thumbhole stock for a model 16. I shot my new model 16 in 260 yesterday, after shooting my MKII .22 and my FVSS, both with thumbhole stocks it was very uncomfortable. Not looking for a bench stock, something to light for a deer rifle.

Thanks

Thanks, I'll check them out. Something I forgot to mention is that it needs to be ambidextrous. It's a right hand rifle that I shoot left handed.

boyds makes left handed thumbholes stocks for right hand bolts. It is almost impossible to have an ambidexterous thumbhole. I've seen them, but I also would not call them thumbholes. I believe they were fore H&R, certainly not for Savage.

I have this one on my 22-250 http://www.stockadegunstocks.com/resources/elkstalker_large.jpg. I don't guess it's technically not (splitting hairs) a thumbhole, but it is a very good stock. It's to much for a pencil barrel hunter though. I'll check out Numrich.

Thanks
