I'm not new to shooting, been doing it for 25 years and reloading for 19 of them.
I own one Savage, a Mark 2 stainless with thumbhole laminated wooden stock. It is absurdly accurate. At 50 yards, it will almost shoot one ragged hole with CCI Standard Velocity. With semi match grade ammo, like SK Standard Plus, it WILL shoot them all into a single hole at 50 yards, when I'm good enough (not often).
I might be looking to add another Savage to the stable. Been having a hankering for an accurate 223 bolt gun that is still light enough for walking around. Due to the fact that I have relatively short arms, I'd even entertain something in a youth stock.
