Lol yes and no...glad the 142s shoot so well but im hoping to get the 140s to shoot as well because the hornadys are about $60 bucks per 500 cheaper than the 142g smks but im thinking they wont.

I don't like the Boat T. on 140 A- MAX ??? 142SMK shoot better for me also @2820/2830.
I love 123 scenars out to 500 yds. The groundhogs don't like them at all! Lol

The sierra bullets seem to always shoot very well.

The 140 Amaxes shoot better for me,consistently .5 inch or better at 200 out of my 6.5x55 CBI. Chrono'd around 2900 fps. I really like this cartridge, just might have to build a sporter version for hunting.

I've been very happy with the 140 grain Hornady Match. Haven't tested them at long range but at 100 yards I shot my all time best group with them out of a .260.

i talked to a few guys that shoot the 140g hornadys at our matches last saturday and they all say the hornadys like a big jump in their riffles so im going to try them at .020 .025 and .030 and see how they shoot...i seated a few out to .015 last sunday but they grouped about the same as the pics above. ill post up after i shoot them seated deeper.

I just got a mod 10 predator max1 in 260. I dont know how it shoots the 140 amax but I will know soon. I already shoot it in a LRP Creedmoor and it performs. I have shot .5 moa out to 530 yards. At 100 it is no fun!
I hope the 260 does as well. Pickeed up the 260 on a trade. I probably would have bought another Creedmoor if I had a choice, but I dont think the 260 will dissapoint. I am definitely going to have to reload for it. They think alot of 260 rounds! I can get match CM for 26 bucks. I havnt seen any match 260, and most rounds run 40 bucks or more per 20. At least I can shoot the same amax 140!

You will like the 260 if you start loading for it...try the 142g smk they are lasers.

I have yet to try them in my 260 but in my F/TR rig the Hornady HPBT's liked to be loaded extra long with zero neck tension so they'd seat into the lands as I closed the bolt.

I ran the 140gr BTHP's in my 6.5-06 over the weekend. They weren't to bad, but when I started running the 140 Berger VLD's off a 300yd zero it was 4.7mil's to the 890yds Gong and they were laughing at the wind. Going to try and get it back out this weekend as that was just a 50 round zero and break in for the first time out with the rifle.

Running necked up Nosler 25-06 Brass, CCI #200 Primers, 48.8grs of Hybrid 100V, with a COAL of 3.4 in a McGowen 1 and 8 twist. Trajectory validation had velocity around 3050fps. Pretty fun round.

I gave up on bergers in my 300wm as I could not get them to shoot with any combo I tried so ive never tried them in my 260 and most likely never will because of the cost, not that I cant afford them but the hornadys are showing great promise and the 142g smks shoot lights out.
Im going out thursday friday and saturday and play with the hornadys in nosler brass so ill post back in the next few days.

My Shilen barrel in 260 loves the 140 BTHP.
They are jumping about .040 and speed is 2830 in a 26" barrel.
I like it when the cheapest bullet performs well.
Subsonic performance seems good also.

Im about ready to give up on the 140g hornadys im starting to think this barrel just dont like them...im going to try them over some imr7828 if they dont shoot im done with them for now. Funny thing...I bought some 140g nosler CCs when I put my 260 together and gave up on them pretty quick...thursday and today I used them over the 7828 with a rem 9.5 LR primer to fire form new brass and was very impressed and will be pursuing this load...the funny part is ive never had good results with 7828 rem 9.5 primers or the nosler CCs put the three together and bingo!

It's all about the combination and some work,,,,, and not committing suicide before you find the combo that works!
Make sure to try a good jump with the 140bthp's, never got anywhere seating them at or near the lands, that went foe 7282SSC, H100V, R17 and H4350.

Ive tried the 140s with RL-17 imr4350 h4831sc h1000 and RE-22 with cci200 rem 9.5 rem 9.5mag and fed 210s and they shot ok. the biggest jump ive tried was .025 in lapua brass as the free bore is pretty limited in my barrel and I start compressing before I get to a good velocity. I will try .030 to .045 off in the nosler brass as it has quite a bit more case capacity.
