What would the value be for a brand new Savage Model 12 FTR barrel be as NIB, never shot?

.308 Winchester.

Hard to say. maybe $150? Maybe more if you had already worked up a load and could demonstrate what it can do. On the other hand, some people like the idea that it is new. If it were me, since it is a .308 (long barrel life), I'd rather know how it performs. If it were a barrel burner (which it's not), I'd rather it be new. Personally, I would not pay more than that either way b/c I have more confidence in what someone like Jim at Apache Gun Works can do with a Green Mountain barrel for not much more than that. Maybe ask more and accept $130?

I picked up a 24" 10BA heavy fluted threaded in .308 for $100 last year. YMMV
