Savage factory 6.5-284 twist

Am I correct in assuming the model 12 in 6.5-284 used an 8" twist barrel. This is the model for F class that was about 29" long.

Correct, all of the 6.5-284s were 1:8. I think all of the 6.5s were 1:8 regardless of the case it was in.
