I recently bought a savage 110 "flat back" style action rifle and it has weaver bases which I don't like. I have started looking for good steel rings and bases. I prefer Leupold STD but am open to suggestion. Can any one point me in the right direction. The Leupold site doesn't seem to have them or I don't recognize them from their description.
Thanks in advance

Should be #49996 for the STD mount (gloss finish - no matte option) according to Leupold's catalog, but Midway lists that P/N for a round receiver. I'd call Leupold to confirm before ordering just to be on the safe side.

If you look in Leupold's catalog, they have separate p/n lists that specify they're for roundtop/accutrigger models. Page 51

I think he meant he dont like weaver style bases or maybe he dont like weaver brand?

The Burris standard bases work rather well. IMHO, two piece bases work better, functionally, on long actions, than one piece bases. My reason is, if my fat fingers need to insert a single round or removed a single round, there is more room with two piece bases. (I don't really have fat fingers!!)

I thought warne made two piece set ups for the flat back and then you could use the burris signature zee rings with the offset inserts in case you have an alignment issue which is common.

There is a set of burris mounts in the misc section for sale.
