picked up another 219

I have a nice 30-30 and 22h along with all the 220 shotguns,, 12,16,20,28 and 410 but stumbled on another 219 in 30-30 with scope grooves for $250 and had to grab it. It came with an old Bushnell Sportview with AO but I replaced it with a newer Mueller 2x7 and headed to the range. With a cheap box of PPUs in 150grn it ripped the center out of 100 yd target. Bambi beware... I love these old guns.

Have you ever been able/tried to reduce the trigger pull to 3 or less pounds??

Must be a Chicopee 219, Utica never grooved the barrels for scope mounting, which means that gun will have a date code on it as well.

My 219 had a dovetail on it. Purchased in the very late 50s--or 1960. Sold cause of trigger so I cant check where it was made.
