Hello all,
I'm new to the forum but not to Savage firearms. Have been a fan for some time. One of my personal Fav's was the Sav model 12 Predeator chambered in 22-250. I recently retired my g-pa's old 740 woodsmaster .30-.06 and found myself looking for a new elk gun. I wanted to find a 7mm rem mag either in the 110 action of 111 in a pawnshop somewhere and just build from the action. I found that compared to the price of a brand new "trophy hunter xp" that i might as well just buy it new, so i did. I thought i would use the stock Nikon BDC on it this year and just paint the stock to make it mine, so i did (destert tan). It's drying now and i cant wait to throw it back together.
Glad to be here. Feel free to comment on the model 111, particularily the 7 mag and what type of factory loads it likes. Not huge into reloading.
