6.5 creed with a 95 grain v max

Does anyone have any experience with a 95 grain v max out of a 6.5 creedmoor? My 243 AI got put on hold and I want to shoot some yotes. I have an 8 twist barrel. If you have experience what kind of velocity and groups. What powder are you using? Thanks for any input.

you wont have any issues, 8 twist at 3200-3300 fps will be under max RPMs. ive noticed light for caliber v maxs have worked well in the majority of calibers ive used.

That 95 gr will probly put a fist size hole in them!!! im jealous

Not 95gr. But i shoot 123 scenars @ 3010/3020 with H4350 1/2"@ 200yds

What is the formula to calculate the rpm? I always have twist rate questions and if I had a mathematical formula it sure would be nice

Sometimes twist calculator shows bullet is unstable but if MV and RPMS are high enough they will stabilize

Ah, careful grasshopper. 3300fps is 297,000rpm. Barrel smoothness dependant, Hornady claims a Max RPM limit of @ 290,000 rpm.

Try the 100 grain A-Max. They were explosive on long rangeP-Dogs. I was using my 260.

I use the 95 grain vmax in my 260. Absolutely love it and it is more explosive than any other bullet I tried including the 100 a max. Anybody know where i can buy more of them?
