Springfield 187n replacement triggers

Hello savage owners !! I just got a Savage Springfield 187n 22 rifle and would like to know is there a replacement trigger for it ? The trigger seams to have a 7lb +/- pull to it can i do anything to lessen the weight of pull original trigger ? thanks for any suggestions (other than throw it away LOL)

Nothing aftermarket available for those as they haven't even been made for nearly 40 years now, but you may be able to work it over or have a gunsmith work it over to get it down to a more reasonable pull weight.

If it has not been done, start with good cleaning of trigger assy.
