Hello from Kentucky

Hello all, Had several Savages through the years, my first rifle was a Savage single shot 22, I still have it. I have 2 Savage/Stevens 311 shotguns in 12 ga and 16ga, still looking for the 20 ga.

Just bought a Savage 111 in 30-06 the other day and plan on trying to shoot it a little today. Can't sight it in much til my new scope base gets here. The base on it is too long to properly mount my scope. Thats about it

Welcome KentuckyFarmer - I'm new here too. But with something in common with you: I'm originally from Kentucky (born & raised). In fact, just got back to Tejas from the Commonwealth. It was a rare return for me (to visit family) and I managed to bring back a couple of old shotguns this time around. My ties are to Franklin & Jessamine Counties and to Adair/Green/Taylor counties.

Beef cattle mainly with some hay thrown in. Dad is trying the soybean route again this year, last year he barely broke even due to the dry weather.
