my new stock arrived today

got my new medalist stock but the bottom i open. i want to use a savage target action. have i made a mistake or did they or what is the solution with this thing?

Kinda odd since they dont make a DBM for a Savage unless it is special ordered with the $280 hardware. You sure you didnt get someone elses stock, maybe for a Remingon or something?

The stock should have been a model #2997 and the screw spacing should be 4.400"

I covered that earlier. The two outer action screws measure 4.400 apart. The same as a centerfeed short action. So as long as you just abandon the middle action screw it fits just fine. We just did one on a buddy of mines lrpv action.
