Can I borrow someones serial number?

Savage wants a serail number to match up parts to...I am building a rifle from scratch using a Numrich Savage surplus stock...action is LA 5.062" spacing and stock I got has inlet for a floor plate, not a DBM bottom metal...anyone out there got something like that I can borrow the serial number off of to order the floor plate, mag box and spring/follower?

Your serial number doesn't show what was available or is available. Do you have a flat back or a round receiver?

Building from scratch with an older 110FP LA Flat back as a donor receiver...may be a mute point at this juncture...I think I have decided to go CDI DBM for it...I already have a couple of guns set up like that and I can share mags...ends the headache of finding a floor plate...
