Compare these calibers

12 LRPV Left Port: 6br vs 12 LRP:6.5cm/.260 Do these three calibers compare at all besides two being 6.5's?

I like the left port/right bolt on the LRPV. Would it fit other short action two screw stocks?

What barrel shank size are they?

I look at them like this (others may vary).....

The 6mmBR is a competition round that can be used for hunting (think .243 Win) and the two 6.5's are more of hunting rounds that can used for competition. They can all work as either but it is kinda like a 60/40 split. My $.02 anyway.

I recently put together a RB/LP LRPV using a 30" Brux barrel chambered in 6x47 Lapua that I picked up on here. Hopefully, the weather will allow me to get it out to the range next weekend.

Yes they do compare. The 6BR is a great lil round with accuracy potential out to and perhaps past 1000yds and with a faster twist can handle the heavy bullets for the 6mm bore. Same could be said for the 6.5CM with the CM having a possible slight advantage being able to use even heavier bullets with high BC's. Now all of than can also be said for the 260, however it seems that many people feel the CM has the advantage over the 260 due to the CM having lower recoil, but then with the slightly added powder capacity you gain some power and potential distance.

Really, just pick one and enjoy.

All three are excellent catridges but the only pitfall is the 6br ,it cant be mag fed very well.

Must be why 12 LRPV is single shot. I think it would do well in either bvss or vlp stock as a factory offering. I had a vlp .223 single shot from the factory, wish I'd never sold that one. Got interested in a factory rifle competition egg shoot down the road, the savage 12 models in 6br were cleaning everybody's clocks! haha!

I think the creadmoor has a bit more forgiving space in the short action magazine compared to the 260 and the 6br is LOW recoil to either in comparison..
