I have a 110 that I'm wanting to cerakote. First I'm wondering roughly how many pounds of aluminum oxide it would take to blast a barreled action without a cabinet. I want to buy enough to get the job done and not have to buy more in the middle of it. And second, I happen to have one of these,

laying around from a different project. Before I go buy something else, has anyone used one. I know its not ideal. Did it work? Would it get me by?

That is the media gun I use for my hobby prep work on Savage actions and barrels. You can get by with 10 to 25 lbs of aluminum oxide if you catch and reuse some of it. I use a large box with the seams taped.

Awesome. I'll use it until I can get something different.

How many ounces of cerakote roughly does it take to do a barreled action.

About 2 to 3 oz at most.
