I'm not sure what to think. Do you have them attached to anything?

got to the range last weekend with the .257 bob got it on paper. will try some loads on sunday for the .257 bob. as for the .223 barrel so far right at 1 inch at 100 yards. about 300 rounds so far 1 inch might be the best for this barrel? one thing i can tell you it is easier to clean than the factory barrel! it will be a little while before i get to the 250 savage. the bullet police(wife) put me on a bullet budget!! lol!!

I have 3:
1) A heavy stainless 243 Win. Chamber reamer caught a chip or something, 'cause there's a bulge ring on the shoulder of every fired case. Very good shooter, though, and cleans up pretty quick.

2) A medium 223 WSSM. Shoots fine, but horrible copper fouler.

3) A medium 6.5-300 WSM. Again, shoots fine, but the most disastrously horrible copper fouling barrel I've ever owned, seen, or heard about, and a full treatment with the Tubb FinalFinish 'system' didn't help.

I think I'd buy another A&B barrel, if only they had them in chamberings and weights/contours I wanted. :(

Had a 223 A+B barrel that shot tight.

You will be busy trying to find a load and then switching before you finish to another barrel you want too try.
then you can AI them and start over.

Does anyone have a web site for A&B? I keep getting redirected and it doesn't look like Midway has updated their pages in a while. Or even better another source for them.

Midway updates their site on a minute-by-minute basis so if they have something arrive in a shipment you'll see it real-time.

A&B barrels are ER Shaw rejects. I barreled a Czech Mauser w/ an A&B F34-tapered 257 Rob that I had cut to Ackley Improved. It shoots well enough... as with many ok barrels it'll shoot certain loads REALLY well (bug holes), some pretty well (1-1.5 MOA), but most just alright (+/-2").

I'm building a couple of Bobs, one in AI for a buddy of mine, and one standard for me, on Savage short actions and am planning to run a Shilens on both of those. At the very least I'd run a first-run Shaw. I have an ER Shaw on a Savage 110 in 338-06 A-Square that shoots very nicely. There really isn't any significant price difference... I think ER Shaw charges $150 for a blued, chambered 110 barrel?

Good luck w/ the project,
