Savage Scout 308, no accutrigger, 97% condition for $400 -- good deal?

Found a Savage Scout rifle for $400 at a local dealer. Listed in 97% condition. Going to check it out this weekend.

What should I look for in the rifle?

Is it a good rifle for $400?

Pros? Cons?

Any help would be appreicated.

Being a scout config makes it hard to shoot out past 450-500. Long eye relief scope options are a bit limited. Other than that it is a savage so it "should" be a shooter if you do your part.
