Hello all,
Just activated my paid membership and wanted to shout out to all the folks on this board with the great advice on my new Savage build and introducing me to Northland Shooters.
I just finished my Savage 11 XP conversion / build and will post pics soon.
.308 26" Shillen Barrel 1:10 with Jim's recoil lug.
HS precision stock
Polished and engine turned bolt
Duracoat receiver and metal flat tactical black.
Vortex HST 6-24 X 50
Bedded the recoil lug area and slightly forward (1") to fit the new lug properly.
Has not been shot yet.
I am a rifle shooter, hunter and USPSA shooter and been dabbling in gunsmithing for the last 5 years. I have a decent C&R rifle collection aside from the modern stuff.
When my kids go to college I plan on moving to a free state.
