i gotta say i'm very impressed with the accuracy with this rifle, only change was the scope and it was still on target, with a bit of adjusting i got about quater sized 3 shot groups, bad part was i forgot my phone and had no camera so no pics. i'm very happy with this rifle and glad i went with it over the 100 ATR i was originally looking at.

welcome to the websie and the Brotherhood of the Barrel Nut. Glad to see your happy, most are. Try 165-168 grain bullets for best accuracy. That seems to be the consensus as to what works best in Savage .30 cal rifles. (non magnum)

Don't forget the 175 and 190 SMKs. You may be in for a "Wow!"

i used 150 grain Winchester CX2. i have some Rem. Core Lokt 180 grain but i didn't get a chance to shoot those, o also have some match Fiocci 165 grainBT that i'll probably save for hunting. i can't wait to get out to the range again.

I'm with Uncle Jack. My .30-06 shoots better with heavier bullets.
