new muzzle brake for the .308

finally got around to having my buddy machine me a muzzle brake and threading my barrel on my 12 bvss in .308. Only got to put one round thru it but man what a difference. At the Indiana savage shoot i went through 220 pounds and was bruised for 2 days,i think this will help alot and thinking of maybe adding more holes if it will help, any opinions?

add holes to the top of it, with none at the bottom. This should lessen muzzle jump even more, and also not allow as much dust and dirt to fly up if you are shooting prone.

Looks good though. I like it.

Wow! That looks great. Ask your buddy if he will make me one for $45 (Halfway between the cost of a Harrels and a Badger thruster). I have a .308 with a muzzle diameter of .840" unthreaded. I am assuming that is SS not aluminum right? I like the design as pictured.

I was gonna add holes down the top and a row off each side of center but didn't get a chance today. Hopefully i can put some more rounds through it tomorrow with and without the brake to see how much of a difference it actually makes.

Seems lately all the brakes I see are the shark gill type. More effective, but you would not wan to shoot next to him.
