Are you saving pelts or do you want a spectacle?

You said preferably not a light bullet......what's your definition of light?

Not the best BC bullet but the 80g Sierra SBT did great on coyotes from 40 to well past 200 yards. Exit wounds were no bigger than a 50 cent piece (even at 40 yards).

If you want heavier, you might look into the 95g Berger VLD hunting bullet or the 105 A-max if your barrel will stabilize it.

I like the Hornady 87 gr. hpbt or the Berger 90 gr. hpbt, each over a near max load of H 4350. I get them going around 3,110 fps. from a 24" barrel with a 1-10 twist.

Bad thing is, I think Midway is still out of stock for both of those. :'(

Hornady 87gr V-max max load of H-4350 My rifle will group them under 2" at 400yrds.

Just wondering folks. How would the 80gn Berger be for a yote bullet?
Really easy to make them shoot accurate out of any suitable 6mm.

The 90 gr. Berger that I sometimes use because of it's accuracy at long range is a target bullet, but it puts their dick in the dirt.
I am only picky with bullet choice on game animals like deer, I have shot coyotes with calibers from 204 through 308, and it's all good. ;D
