Registered a while back and have benefited from the group knowledge here, finally decided to wade into the conversation.
I was fortunate enough to score a membership at somewhat exclusive benchrest range a few years ago finally getting an opportunity to play more at one of my favorite games. I am a tinkerer and like to build loads with different combinations of bullets/powder/primers etc. Mostly just hoping to shoot tighter groups or better scores today than I did yesterday. Quickly found myself dissatisfied with the performance of my sporting rifles and started the search for a "tiny group" gun on a budget. Ended up with a model 12 in 223 Rem which kept the beast under control for a time but, as you all know, the groups can never get small enough. Next up is a Target Action, Right bolt left port, also in 223. This soothed the yearning for a time, but that's a story for a different post.
