super sporter 30-30

Hey Guys,

I have a Super Sporter (I think that it is a Model 40) in 30-30 that was given to me by a neighbor. It is missing the bolt. I have been trying to come up with a replacement, but to no avail and I have run out of ideas. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried gun parts corp in new York state?

Good luck! Those guns were made between 1928 and 1942 and replacement parts are almost non-existent. Even if you do manage to find a bolt, the headspace will need to be reset to the new bolt and it's highly likely that will leave your open sigths off to one side or the other rather than right on top.
