I originally wanted a weatherby but im debating getting another savage chambered in 6.5 creedmoor instead. So which ones should i get? The 12lrp is out of the choice so is any other rifle maker thats above $700. All factory rifles only. The lowest ive looked at is the ruger american predator but im concerned with how cheaply made it seems.

Dunno about the Weatherby; never had one, but a Savage will outshoot a Ruger 8 days out of 7.
Savage makes a walnut stocked light weight Creedmoor that is too expensive for my pocket but it makes me drool.

A word on Gunblast. They never met a gun they didn't like.

Ive been eyeing that savage 11 trophy hunter a lot as well as the savage 10 max and i think there was one more 10 that was a regular style.

I just bought a LRP in a 6.5 and I love it although it's heavy. I also bought my son the predator max in the 6.5 and it is very sweet also. The savages with heavy varmint barrel come with 1.5 lb trigger. My sons is at 1.75.

Yea varmint barrels are heavy under the theory that varmint hunters shoot high volume and shoot in a fixed position off a bipod. You can't shoot long range accurately with a sporter barrel that is red hot from volume shooting. For large game the varmint contour barrels are out of their realm.
Thus they sell both varmint and sporter contoured barrels.

The predator max is looking better and better to me.
