Well the federal fusion 165gr shot really well out of the savage 308 got dime sized groupings at a 100 yrds

For factory hunting ammo in .308 I had great luck with Federal Premium with the 165gr Sierra GameKing BTSP. Now that I load my own bullets I still try to keep these on my shelf. Brutal on deer.

I've never bought match ammo but a friend likes the Black Hills 175gr. in .308W. I load my own using the 175gr Sierra MatchKing or the 168gr Nosler Competition BTHP.

For me on my 10FLPC-K .308 shoots best on 168 A-MAX on 42.2gr of IMR 4320 Powder. Hitting steel ALL day at 500yds.
