12 Benchrest 6mm BR

Hi Folks

I have a 12 BR on order. I read somewhere that it comes with 2 piece scope bases (Weaver, perhaps?). Not sure if it actually does, and if it does, are they a 20MOA setup? I have written to Savage Support, but no answer from them as yet.

I already have a 2014 Nightforce Competition 15-55x52 scope and Nightforce rings for it, but I want to make sure I have a correct base in hand when I take delivery of the rifle.

I highly dought it will come with 20 moa base, usually they come with Weaver 2 peice bases. Get yourself a nice 20 moa one piece rail.

I don't think it comes with any bases.
if it is 2 pieces, it will be 0 moa

Yeah, I have an EGW HD 20MOA one on my 10 FCP. Seems pretty stout. Didn't know if a picatinny rail might impinge on the dual ports. Probably not.

Nightforce makes a nice set of 20MOA bases, but as with all NF stuff, $$$.

I already have the NF Competition scope and NF rings, so they are into me pretty good by now. ;-)

I have a few dual ports and they did not come with any bases, those were the ol lrpv ones.
I have installed egw on couple of them and it does NOT impede on the dual port ...
Becareful of the front base screw, they are nearly always LONG and will bind on the barrel, you need to shorten it

You can't go wrong with the 20 MOA EGW Picatinney rail.
