I bought this used Savage 16 .308 the other day and its perfect for my build. Hidden box magazine, center-feed, top bolt release.

The only thing I am kind of confused on is how to get the right stock. I do not know much about savage rifles in general, this is the first one I have ever owned.

I have tried to look up info on this model and have not been able to find much. Also, us has an integrated muzzle break on it, the guy I bought it from said it is factory. I can't seem to find any info of Savage doing factory muzzle breaks. Anyone have any idea how much I could sell the barrel or the stock for?

Also, do y'all buy a new recoil lug or just stick with the factory one?

Check out stockys stocks website...they have a stock finder tool. Savage does sell models from factory that come with brakes.

Thanks, I saw some models with breaks but they were detachable. I haven't seen any integrated ones like this. But hey, this is the first savage I have ever owned.

I forgot to mention that most people who put a new barrel on will also put a new recoil lug on...
