I have just started shooting a Savage 6mm AI. I dont know much about Savage rifles this one has a long action and a 26" barrel with a 8 twist so it likes long bullets and it like to go fast. It has a Vortex scope and shoots .5 groups and I have hit small rocks at 975 yds. I like shooting long range and look forward to learning more as I get into other long range rifles.
I am looking to set up a tactical rifle to shoot tactical match's at a local range. 300 and 500 yds.
I would like to put together an inexpensive rig to compete with the Desert Tactical's and the Accuracy International rigs that these guys are shooting. I do not have the budget nor the experience at this point to justify the $. I want to learn and not break the bank.
Any advise is appreciated.
