I don't have a lrpv. Stevens 200 action 1:11 26" CBI. My favorite load is the 39gr SBK over 25.5 N-133 C I #450 primer OAL 2.325. Getting 3900fps and 1/3 MOA out to 300yds. I've used 28 grains of N-140 and same components. Accuracy was practically the same but it was about 200fps slower. The 32gr v-max shoot pretty good with 26.5 of N-133 and are well over 4000fps. Can't remember the OAL. I've also tried 8208XBR. It shows promise but I haven't dialed it in.
What powders/bullets are you considering?

I have a 12fv in .204 so I don't know if there is a difference in the barrels. I can not get the 32 vmax to shoot consistently under an inch at 100 yards, the 40 grain vmax is a bit better. However the 39 sierra blitzking is lights out with H322. I use a mild load and I do not know the velocity. This gun is what sold me on savage. Once I found a load it liked it was night and day on the groups. I have not had much luck with 8208XBR. Benchmark is another good powder. For whatever reason as long as I stay with the 39 SBK I can do no wrong. I have also tried noslers and midway 34 grain dogtowns. I use the dogtowns to play around with and just to shoot at steel but they are not accurate in my gun but for the price they are worth a try.

Birdie, I have an lrpv in 204r it likes reloader 10x and 39g sierra blitzkings don't have the reciepe in front of me but if you got some 10x try it. You might also try some benchmark and 35g bergers both of these combinations have worked with mine

I have a Rem 700 with a Shilen 9 twist in 204 Ruger. You're gonna have some fun. The best combo I've found is 39 gr Sierra BKs with 27.9 gr of CFE223. I've also had good results with H322, Viht N140 and A2230. A word of warning, if you go with Nosler brass use their load data only! Their max load levels for the 204 are less than most of the powder manufacturers and I ran into BIG problems because of the differences. Make sure you check out the forum at 204Ruger.com. They are the nicest and most helpful people you'll ever find on a gun forum and it's the best place to go for 204 info.

27 grains of Varget under a 40gr vmax shoots in the high .2s consistently for me.

Switch it up to IMR 4064 and see what happens. This is the only rifle I have that likes Varget .

I have owned 3 204 R and currently am down to 1, a McGowen barreled Savage action in a B&C Med. stock. With all three of mine I have done real well with 32gr V-Max and BLc-2 powder. I have not worked too much with my current rifle on a load as I no more got it together than I had health problems. I am starting to get back from them and I hope that by the time the weather gets a little better I will be ready. I have had pretty good luck with Dogtowners also.
