September 2, 1972, 1:00 PM, Maw and I said "I do".

My best man was in charge of getting our get away car to the reception. I hid the keys to my '69 Porsche for a reason! :p

I wish 42 more for you & your bride.

Seeing folks married & staying together for that many years is a rarity these days.

Best of luck Bill to you both.

Still have the Porsche?

No Fred, sold'm both '73. It was a 912/5, white/ brown saddle w/"S" wheels. It and the Ghia weren't what exactly what one would call "family" cars:p. We used the proceeds to buy a new Grand Torino with few bucks left over for diapers!:p

Reminds me of the time many years ago when we were celebrating my aunt and uncle's anniversary. It was quite a party. Maybe 200 people... Someone approached my aunt, congratulated her and said, "20 happy years, huh?" She paused a second, gave a deep, thoughtful, look, then, with a mischievous smile replied back, "Yes, that's about right... and 20 out of 25 isn't too bad, either!" :)
