I have a 1990's 110 with the plain wooden stock and I'm planning to convert it to 375 H&H. Will the stock handle this? Should I add crossbolts?

Also, I want to add iron sights, probably tall 'express' style ones. Will this stock be the right heigh for me to get my eye down to iron sight level?

Thanks.

What is/was the original caliber? Push come to shove, you could always work the stock comb down to a correct height for the iron sights. Is the factory stock pillar bedded? If not, it needs to be AND I would glass bed the rifle. If the original caliber is one of the belted magnums, the stock should be strong enough to handle the 375 if pillar bedded and glass bedded.

I would strongly recommend epoxy bedding the recoil lug at a minimum (I always bed receivers)...

It will improve accuracy and a decent thickness of epoxy behind the lug will absorb the recoil and distribute it evenly into the stock.

Thanks. The rifle is originally/currently a .30-06 and has not been pillar or glass bedded.
