I've been lurking in and out for quick info for a while now and decided to finally jump in. :peep:

I 'm just an average guy with lots to be thankful for. Love spending time with family and friends, reloading, hunting (rifle and bow), fishing, camping, hiking, and other outdoorsy stuff. Retired from the USAF in 2007 but unfortunately still have to work :p as Civil Servant (Mgmt Analyst) in Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT. Great Falls has been home for my wife and I since 2003, four times longer than any place we've lived before.

Been hunting and around firearms since I can remember but got more serious in 1980. I have other rifles but only have two Savage rifles at this time; my trusty Savage 111F in .300 Win Mag and my .270 AI (Savage 110 LA, 30" SS Lilja #6, 1:8, 3-groove).

Will do my very best to be an active participant - to contribute and share experiences ... and of course to learn from others.

Cheers!

Ed

Welcome - thank you for your service.

We're pretty much in the same boat - retired last year, spent a year contracting, and now back with the gov building ships.

Thanks for your service as well!

My late Dad and late brother were retired USNs too. I was the 1st one to veer off to the USAF side and my nephew (now retired) and my son followed (currently a 1LT flying with spec ops at Hurlburt Field).

Cheers!
