I want to use a Farrell or Warne Base but I am starting to understand that they are not to true Picatinny standards in the slot area. Is this true?

Can I use the following tactical rings with the either of these bases or are the slots not compatible?

KnightForce 30mm
Badger 30mm
Valdada 30mm

As far as I know they are to spec.

this is a quote from Warnes website, about their tactical 1pc base:

These bases incorporate the mil-spec 1913 cross slot design and will accept Weaver style or Picatinny style rings as well as a wide variety of sighting systems with built in mounts. They are constructed of high quality cold drawn steel and are available in matte finish only.

What pdog said,

I have the Warne on my 12F. It is a "true" Picatinny rail. I'm also using the Warne rings. I like them, I need another setup for my 243 I'm building, but I can't find anyone that has them in stock. All the usual players are out of stock.

I'm running a Farrell base with Warne Maxima rings, and have quite a bit of fore and aft slop in the grooves. I just pushed everything forward, and tightened the rings.

Thats due to the rings though. The Burris Sig Zee's have a little also.

I usually push one forward and one back, so it kinda locks it into place incase something does move. Never had a problem though.
