I have a pre accutrigger 110. I bought it from a gunsmith friend and it has a really nice wood stock, not the same that came with the origonal gun. I'm not sure how to tell what the barrell twist rate is or where to find it. if someone could point me in the right direction on finding the information i would appreciate it

I purchased some 180 grain loaded tipped tsx bullets from barnes and they reccomended a twist rate of 1 per 11" so not knowing the twist rate had me wondering if i should shoot them or not. Hopefully I will be impressed with the precision of the bullet

There have been many posts in the past about what works best in Savage .30 cal. rifles and the concensus seems to be 168 gr. The 180 gr. bullets will work just fine, have no fear. With the right powder and wgt of charge just about any wgt bullet will work well. It just takes a lot of work at the reloading bench and range to test, and to many of us that is the fun part of shooting (second to hunting).
Go ahaead and shoot those 180 gr. They may just work fine. If not you have the cases for reloading.
