112 BVSS in .223. Blue receiver, stainless barrel. Can anyone tell me what the twist rate was in these barrels? I know the current 12 BVSS has a 1-9", but what about the 112? I saw somewhere that they may have been 1-12". Thanks.

I don't mean to be sarcastic, but why don't you just measure it?

Tell him how. You might be surprised how many people don't know how.

I clean from the chamber end with a bore protector. Apply your favorite cleaning solution or bore oil to a patch, put the patch on your cleaning rod, start the patch into the bore, watch for the cleaning rod to start to turn, with a tape measure/sharpie - mark your cleaning rod at the 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 inches, mark your cleaning rod at the 12 o'clock position, push the cleaning rod until the rod rotates one full revolution (back to your 12 o'clock mark) and read which 8/9/10/11/etc mark is at the opening of the bore protector. If it is at 9, then you have a 1:9 twist barrel.

You're absolutely right, I should have. I've been doing some of this stuff for so long that I sometimes forget that many of the things I consider "Common Knowledge" ain't always that common.

It's a gun I'm considering purchasing on line. I thought someone here might know.

Once again, I really don't mean to be sarcastic or patronizing, but why don't you ask the guy who's selling it? He could probably give you a better answer than any guess you might get from someone here.
