I am trying to bring new life to my very first center-fire rifle (1967), Savage 110L in 7mm Rem Mag, stagger feed, pass thru mag well with a metal plate exposed on the bottom of the stock.
I am doing some minor fitting to a new synthetic stock and was planning to purchase a new barrel. Got to thinking if I could make the jump to 30-06 I could take advantage of the 06's versatility and milder recoil.
I know I need a barrel and a left-hand bolt face. What else do I need to pull this off?
