Tomorrow I'm going to get a .223 there's a preaccutrigger model 11 for a few buck more than an axis . Is the model 11 without an accutrigger better? I have an axis in .270 with rifle basix trigger and boyds stock and it shoots like a dream. .626 inch groups. .. And advice would be helpful Thanks

A lot more aftermarket support for the mod 11. As far as accuracy, most people will say no. The 1 Axis I got to shoot in 243 shot just as good as my 10GNS. I personally prefer the 10/110 style over the Axis just for the aftermarket options, but the Axis is starting to get some support as well. If the Money is close go with the 11 IMHO.

I do not have an Axis, so I can't say anything about how they shoot or function, but I prefer he look of the 10/110 and am certainly loyal to it. I have done several builds from used donors as you describe and also use aftermarket triggers. I agree with your plan.

No regrets in buying both axis rifles I own but given the choice in short action .223, the model 11 would be a better buy for the stronger shorter action when looking further ahead for the future and possibly wanting to re-barrel it/aftermarket stuff as Boots already said is a big plus.

So I bought the axis. Cleaned the trigger up to about 3.5 lbs and took it to the range.
1st shot exactly 1" high and dead center at 50 yards. 2nd shot punched the small gong at 200 yards.
right out of the box. Zero adjustments needed. I don't know if that's usual, I've never bought a rifle with a scope mounted before, but I'm super impressed! I mean ... Wow.

Is that the Weaver Kaspa? The Axis II I'm.finishing came with one. I just pulled it off.since I've something else in mind. But the Weaver looks really nice and.clear with a bdc style reticle. Might just hang on to for a backup.

Not even , just the bushnell. I didn't know that the axis 2 came with the weaver. From what I hear that's a much better scope. I'm going to trade the bushnell on mine with a vortex diamondback 3-9 that I have on my 17hmr as soon as my one piece rail shows up.
