CDI was running a special in July for free inletting and installation when you purchased their bottom metal. I called early in the month and arranged to send them my .223 model 10 in a Bell&Carlson stock for installation and the purchase of 2 ten round magazines. The people I spoke to there were very friendly and helpful. They told me turnaround would be 7-10 days plus shipping. I was given a firm quote on the job and told to send it in. I got it back today and I'm pretty happy. On the B&C stock the bottom metal is recessed about 1/4" from flush. The CDI metal has a very nice oversized mag release. The .223 AI mags are plastic, but good quality. They do jiggle a bit when inserted, but I've run a couple mags full of rounds through them and they feed perfectly. In fact, they feed smoother than my 12lrp 6.5 Creed with the HS stock and factory mag.
