I've been lurking for a while and finally joined. I had been wanting a .308 and finally bought a Model 11 Trophy Hunter XP. While doing some research on which rifle to get, I came across this forum. It looks like a great site with a lot of knowledgeable people willing to share and help.

As for me, I'm retired USAF, now in my second career doing IT (gotta pay for our hobbies somehow...).

Welcome good to see more Members from our "Gunshine" state! I got the same model in .270win. Did you get a detach box or blind mag setup? Check the screws on your scope mount. I replaced mine with DNZ Game reaper one piece mount after I had probs with stock mounts.

I got the detach magazine. I've heard good and not-so-good stuff about the scope, so if I decide to replace it, I've already got an idea of what I'm going to mount.
