Converting from hidden box to detachable mag???

can you convert from the hidden box mag on the 10fp-sr to a detachable magazine while using the factory stock? I have no problem with the factory stock, just hate trying to load the small .223 rounds into the hidden box mag while using a scope rail mount. the round is small and annoying to get just right even after some practice.

Is the bottom plastic "plate" that covers where the factory steel DBM frame would go removable at all? If it is, you'd just need the DBM frame and a steel detach magazine base plate (you can find the part number for both by doing a Google search).

I have not tried to but is looks like there is a cover that should come off.
