The first rifle pictured in the below photo....I purchased this 20" .223 varmint barrel from the classifieds last week....thanks Bowbrother! Last night I took a .243 collecting dust in the closet and changed out the bolthead and magazine to .223. Screwed on the barrel and mounted a scope. Gotta get out to the range this weekend and see how she does. I think 20" barrels are my favorite. They point so well for me and I have had most of my rifles chopped to 20" in the last year.

The second Rifle is a 6.5 Creedmoor Model 16 that I had the barrel cut to 20". I have been wanting a short and light all weather rifle that I don't have to worry about getting dirty and wet. Last year every time I went deer hunting it seems the weather was foul, and I was always worried about my rifles getting wet and dirty.
I put one of the new Nikon Prostaff 5 2.5-10 scopes on it...great glass by the way. I did get a chance to shoot it and get some loads together, and it shoots great as you can see by the 100yd target pic below with 120 grain Barnes TTSX. I always love it when my predetermined hunting bullet shoots good groups right out of the gate with little to no tweaking!

Nice! I'm a fanboy of the weather warrior. Though I have yet own one.

For such a light and handi rifle it does shoot great.
